Gimbal Bearing Installer and Alignment Tool for Boat Owners

This set of tools includes an Engine Alignment Bar Tool, a Gimbal Bearing Installation Tool, and a Gimbal Bearing Puller Tool. These tools are compatible with MerCruiser Sterndrives, including the Pre-Alpha "R", Alpha One "MR", Generation II, and all Bravo models.

The Engine Alignment Bar Tool is similar to the MerCruiser P/N 91-805475A1, which was previously P/N 91-57797A3. It is also compatible with the Volvo SX P/N 3851083 and the OMC Cobra P/N 18-4442. The bar measures approximately 23-5/8 inches in length and consists of two pieces: the Working Side and the Handle. Although it is a two-piece design, the tool functions just as effectively as the one-piece versions, with the added benefit of requiring less storage space.

Constructed from high-quality 1045 Steel, the Engine Alignment Bar Tool includes an eyebolt, allowing you to hang the tool when not in use. Unlike some similar tools, this one is supplied without a black oxide coating.

The Gimbal Bearing Puller Tool is designed to remove bearings from the bell housings of Mercruisers, OMC, and Volvo Cobra engines. It is compatible with Mercruiser Alpha, Alpha 1, MR, and Bravo models, as well as OMC Cobra and Volvo engines. This tool is also made from high-quality 1045 Steel, not a casting.

The Gimbal Bearing Installation Tool is compatible with OMC Cobras, Bravos, and #1 Drives manufactured from 1966 to the present, including the Pre Alpha(R), Alpha 1 MR, and Generation 2 models.

Please note that we do not pre-drill the holes in the alignment tool, as different manufacturers position the mounts in various locations. Instead, we provide instructions on where to drill the hole for the correct alignment.
